It is hard to say when A took her first steps...she has been doing the one-step - sit down, then a two-step - sit down act for a few weeks now, but we have been waiting for when she really walks. When she prefers walking over crawling. And this past week she started slowly standing up by herself, then she would smile at us, take a step or so and then crawl. But she was pushing up to a stand all the time vs. squatting to crawl all the time. On Thursday, she saw W's wooden dinosaur on the floor and she took off for it. J and I were watching and counting her steps "one,TWO, three, four, fivesixseveneightnine!, wow!!!!" The most steps we have seen her take at once.
Later that same day, there were nine deer outside our fence that we were watching. A gave us some great video-worthy footage. In this vid, I thought she would walk to the dogs, but she detoured toward me saying "momma".
And here she is walking to the dogs.
Walking from Geoff to me...just a couple of steps here. Love the teetering, tottering, unsteady, new-walking legs walk! So fun!
