Welcome home Daddy!

Hmmm...what's new? My parents were in town last week, Geoff returned home from a week out of town and the boys are so great! Here are a couple of pictures of the boys when they saw their daddy after his trip:

I am trying to come up with creative things to do this week-it is so hot outside it is hard to do anything after 7 a.m.! We manage to squeeze in an early a.m. walk on most days though. I skipped this morning though-with the humidity, it felt like 97 degrees before 9 a.m.! Uggggg

Both boys seem to have gotten a lot more hair-and teeth! I think all 4 upper center teeth have broken through on both guys...

Here are a couple of pictures from the park last week:

Busy busy boys!

Holding onto daddy's hair

Hey J!

J giving W a kiss (or um a "bite")-how sweet!

The boys are climbing, crawling, scooting, kneeling, squating, you name it! They are quite into trying to get the baby gate open and escaping. Their grandparents are in town and as always, the boys looove the extra attention.

Here are the escape artists devising a breakout plan:

A day in the life...

Here are some pictures of what we do throughout our day....
Playtime:

Naptime:

.....or not....(see J above standing in his crib). As you can see below, they like to flatten their bumper and use it as a pillow.

And later...maybe we will go outside for more playtime (if it is not too hot).
Here is W in his swing.

The boys like to watch our other babies (Katy and Bear) while they are outside. Katy is so big and tall-she is at least 75 lbs and definetly not a puppy anymore. Bear is still adjusting to sharing "her" house. On one hand, she seems annoyed that we have the boys...but don't let her fool you...she is the biggest mama hen too. She barks at anyone who approaches their stroller on our walks (she never did that before). She gets up and looks around when she hears the boys wake up and she likes to accompany me to get them from their room.

Eating

They can now hold their own bottles which makes it easier for me to get their food ready while they drink their milk. We will start introducing whole milk when they are 11 1/2 months old. They still nurse twice a day, have formula twice a day, and eat oatmeal, fruit and vegetables. Oatmeal or rice cereal mixed with milk is their favorite right now.
Bathtime
I couldn't resist sharing tthese two pictures of W (check out that buddah belly) and J:

And then bedtime. They are finally sleeping through the night but early (5 a.m.) risers.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!
Grandma and Grandpa are visiting us and we are having a great time. We went to a fair in the city and grilled out with our neighbors for the 4th...we were able to see some fireworks on our street and caught some off in the distance from our house.

Here is W playing a game of peek-a-boo with Grandma...

Here is W (with Grandpa) doing his new favorite thing....wrinkling his nose at everything....

And here is J with mommy and walking with daddy!
It was sooo hot outside that we couldn't stay long...both boys were getting bright red faces from getting so warm.

Papap Visit

My dad (a.k.a. Papap) just came for a quick visit since he had to go to Atlanta for work last week. J just started low crawling around the living room and W is transitioning from his low crawl to getting up on his hands and knees at the same time...the more efficient way of doing things! They both look like they are "growwllling" in the pictures above...W is in the top pic and J is in the bottom one.

We are looking forward to the 4th of July and a visit from the grandparents =)
