Visitors!

We just enjoyed a week with Grammy, Grandpa, and Aunt JJ. They were all busy bees while they were here-they were probably looking forward to returning home to relax some! Just yesterday, Aunt JJ demo'd her play-doh skills. Wow. J and W were loving having her make them a hippos, elephants, pirate ships (below) sharks, and the tiniest mouse I have ever seen.

Avery got some good snuggle time in with Grandpa...and Grammy. Here she is attempting her first bottle with my milk so Geoff and I could go out to dinner for our anniversary. She is not fond of the bottle nipple or the pacifier yet.We made it out of the house to go ice skating Sunday afternoon. It was so great to see the boys' huge smiles. J ice-skated almost the entire time and declared that "I love ice-skating" on the way home. It is amazing the difference one year makes.

Getting to know Aunt JJ: And Aunt JJ sent some fun gifts from her recent trip to Turkey that arrived while she was here. Here is A with her new giraffe and new blanket.

I love how she looks like she is waving here:

Speaking of Avery, she is growing like a weed. There is nothing that makes time fly like a new baby. She is already seven weeks tomorrow. Here she is holding a toy ring:

And a profile of that lovely curve of her full cheeks that we love to kiss so much!

Geoff and Mark worked crazy hard adding access through a door to another crawl space. I never even got outside to get any pictures of it! Thanks for everything Mark, Jan and Jenette!

October Wrap-Up

I feel like every month is flying by! Especially when I pulled out of the garage this morning to take the boys to school and it was snowing! Goodness. Geoff and the boys have been busy...I feel like I have had a successful day if I do one other thing then hold the baby and feed the baby. But that is how it should be right? The boys are obsessed with a show called "Jake and the Neverland Pirates". Here is a picture (excuse the bad lighting) of them watching the show. J will sing the theme song and they both will run off and play with their pirate ships calling one "Jolly Rogers" which I guess is Captain Hook's pirate ship on the show. We save the show to DVR. The other morning W told Geoff "if we run out of Jake and the Neverland Pirate shows we can watch some more on wwdotcom. There are games there too." Wow. I guess those commercials do work.

Here are the boys' pumpkins Geoff carved for school. J played with his pumpkin and it broke into three pieces. So Geoff stapled it back together and I think it probably turned out even spookier with the stapled-effect! Halloween night.
The shark trio.

And some pics of A. Her eyes are still blue but I think they will end up turning either hazel or brown. She wants held all.the.time but sometime she will look into the playmat mirror for a couple of minutes.
4 weeks old already!

I love this picture. She looks like quite the thinker.
